Creative Writing Stuff

I've added links to my creative writing stuff over on the left side to make it easier for folks to find it. Because of the nature of the Lone Wolf site, I'm making links to my individual posts (just be aware that the pages might take a while to load - when they do, it will automatically jump to my posts). I'll keep adding to the list as I write more...at least until it becomes too long, then I'll figure something else out. Until then...enjoy!

Water Woes

Got back in the pool today after about six months off...egad was it ugly. Six months shouldn't have killed me as much as it did. Guess I'm just getting old. Anyway, I only did just under 1500 yards today (didn't finish the "long distance" 300...pathetic), which isn't much - especially when you consider I swam in a competitive meet just a year ago.

Which reminds me - I was going to post up my times from that meet but never got around to it. I just found my paper the other day so here were my times. WARNING! These are a year old and do not reflect my abilities now - nor should they be compared to my times when I was a teenager.

Classes and Campaigns

Classes started up this week. Haven't felt like making any regular blog entries lately.

As I've mentioned before, I've gotten the itch to do creative writing. Instead of making a new blog, I've become involved in some online role-playing games, which basically means it a cooperative storytelling thingy. One of them I'm actually directing the flow of the story line. It is called Half-Dozen of the Other. I've set up that site and post over there as "The DM." It's entertaining and since setting it up, I don't have to do a whole lot of work with it. Let the players do their thing and keep the story moving forward.

The other place I've just started using as a creative outlet is called Tower of the Sun. It is based on a series of books that I read as a young kid. It is very open ended and free form. Players can make plotlines go in any direction - within reason. I just started in Chapter 9 under the name of White Otter. While I'm not overly familiar with the setting, I've jumped right in with a murder mystery/political intrigue storyline. No one has yelled at me that I'm screwing anything up. In fact, one of the people there who has been dealing with the noble class of the city has show interest in getting involved in the story.

So far, so good.

Temple Trip

Went to the temple today with Leslie. If you're not sure what exactly that means, click here. I'm just not up to explaining it all at the moment.

T'was a long day, but very fulfilling. We did baptisms, inititories (or however you spell it) and an endowment session. It has been a few years since we last went, and I think it was just what I needed to kick the blahs I've been having. Now I'm only tired...or perhaps just thoughtful.

Either way, it was a good but exhausting day.

A New Year's Blah

BLAH!

I have nothing else interesting to write...so there!
