Classes and Campaigns

Classes started up this week. Haven't felt like making any regular blog entries lately.

As I've mentioned before, I've gotten the itch to do creative writing. Instead of making a new blog, I've become involved in some online role-playing games, which basically means it a cooperative storytelling thingy. One of them I'm actually directing the flow of the story line. It is called Half-Dozen of the Other. I've set up that site and post over there as "The DM." It's entertaining and since setting it up, I don't have to do a whole lot of work with it. Let the players do their thing and keep the story moving forward.

The other place I've just started using as a creative outlet is called Tower of the Sun. It is based on a series of books that I read as a young kid. It is very open ended and free form. Players can make plotlines go in any direction - within reason. I just started in Chapter 9 under the name of White Otter. While I'm not overly familiar with the setting, I've jumped right in with a murder mystery/political intrigue storyline. No one has yelled at me that I'm screwing anything up. In fact, one of the people there who has been dealing with the noble class of the city has show interest in getting involved in the story.

So far, so good.
